Vogue Influencer sample: Prada Candy Florale

Thanks to the nice people from the Vogue Influencer Network, I was able to sample the new Prada Candy "Florale" perfume. I love its lightness and sweet simplicity, perfect for a Summer day! And the bottle is just adorable.

Prada Candy Florale is announced as "an exciting floral fragrance full of life and sensuality, inspired by an imaginary flower that smells like candy or a bouquet of flowers standing on the counter of an ice cream shop in Italy. This romantic and powdery composition contains accords of limoncello sorbet the top, flower of peony in the heart and the base composed of benzoin, musk, caramel and honey."

Somebody likes his new Litter Genie!

Thanks to Crowdtap, I received a free "Litter Genie" cat litter disposal system in the mail to test and review! 

After figuring out the setup (with assistance from the cat - NOT!), I realized the "Genius" part of it - used litter gets scooped into the top, then you pull a handle and it gets sealed inside a special bag. No odors! 

The bag lasts quite a while but is a little pricy to replace (if all you've been using instead were Target grocery bags). Although I would like the plastic container to be a little less flimsy and to have a handle for easier carrying, the concept is, indeed, genius!

Tai Pei "Made To Order" review

  

  

I received some free coupons from Houseparty's Chatterbox to try out something new! Here's the official blurb: 

"New Tai Pei^® Made To Order™ offers countless ways to select and serve your own Asian-style meals at home. Choose from four authentic varieties of ingredients — meat, vegetable, rice and sauce — and enjoy deliciously simple restaurant-inspired meals for four people that’s as easy as 1-2-3-4."

Basically, you buy separate packages of frozen meat, veggies, rice or noodles, and sauce (available at Walmart), mix & match to your heart's content, and in 10-15 minutes you have a filling, restaurant-quality meal. I especially liked their Tempura Battered Chicken pieces with Thai veggies and Thai Yellow Curry Sauce. That sauce is REALLY good (and no MSG)! The Crispy Pork with Honey Teriyaki Sauce and Japanese veggies was tasty as well.

Mmmh.

Oh, and also: Mmmmmhhhh.... A layered strawberry cake! Yellow spongecake layers, covered with strawberry jam, a mix of strawberry yogurt and whipped cream, and slivered strawberries. Perfect party cake!

Move aside, Nutella...

  ... there's a new chocolate spread in town! Thanks to Crowdtap, I received a free sample of new Hershey's Spreads "chocolate with almond" and I have to say I'm impressed! 

Having grown up eating Nutella, I was ready to defend my favorite spread but the Hershey's almond flavor totally won me over. 

It's creamier than Nutella, it is more flavorful, you can totally taste the slightly roasted, slightly salted almond flavor and it's just awesome on anything salty like Ritz crackers, pretzels, potato chips... yum! Can't wait to try the other two varieties, chocolate and chocolate/hazelnut!
