Knitted Easter egg/softball
Yeah, I'm not good with getting the gauge right when I'm knitting. Even if the yarn and needles are MUCH thicker and VERY different than indicated in the instructions from littlecottonrabbits, a little voice inside my head still tells me "Aah, it'll work out just fine if you pull the yarn really tight" (the little voice inside my head speaks with an Irish lilt. I guess I've been watching too much Conan O'Brian lately). So, I ended up with an easter egg thing that's a size somewhere between a softball and a soccer ball. Ah well.
Yummy.
I knitted a scarf! It's the "Potato Chip Scarf" from Knitpicks. Not sure why it's called that, I guess "Pig Intestine Scarf" wouldn't sound so attractive. Since I was almost convinced this wasn't gonna work out right, I used some old acrylic yarn I had lying around. And, what can I say, I pulled the thing off the needle and voilĂ ! A perfectly ruched scarf!
Now I'm a slow knitter, but it didn't take me longer than maybe 8 hours total. I'm gonna do that again, this time with some nice, soft, blue yarn. The cat likes it:

I has a scarf.
