Review: Sterline Counter Top Water Flosser

Woohooo! I was so excited to be chosen to test the new Sterline water flosser! I've seriously ALWAYS wanted one of these. I hate flossing and always heard good things about water flossers. Well, the Sterline is about as awesome as they come - this baby has 10 water pressure settings (start at the lowest one, is all I can tell you), 1,400 pulses per minute, and comes with six different nozzles including an orthodontic tip for braces, a tip for periodontal pockets, and a tongue scraper. The cord rolls up neatly inside the unit, and the tips store inside the lid!

After I got over the learning curve of keeping my mouth closed while flossing so as I wouldn't gush water all over the place, using WARM water, and NOT to use the highest pressure setting for my sensitive gums, I'm loving this thing! It seems well made, sturdy, doesn't take up a ton of space, and comes at a great price.

Only con: The unit is a little loud (fine at low pressure, a little more annoying at higher pressure), but it's tolerable for me (and the neighbors too, hopefully).

Review: Premium Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil for Dogs and Cats

Yay! I received a huge bottle of Premium Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil for Dogs and Cats from TerraMax Pro to review. And I mean HUGE (16 fl.oz.!). I like that the bottle came with both a flip top cap and a pump.

I've been wanting to try out salmon oil for our cats since one has a lot of dandruff and the other has allergic, itchy skin that he's been constantly scratching (we did the ridonculously expensive Food Sensitivity test with him and, turns out he's allergic to basically anything BUT salmon!).

So, fish oil is good for all of us, and this one is actually pharmaceutical human grade salmon oil, containing the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA with over 15 different Omegas. Wow!

First, I put a couple of drops on a plate and let them sniff it. Both were, let's say, less than enthused and walked away. Fortunately, they only need a few drops of this per day (the bottle recommends 1/2 tsp per 25 lb of weight), so I started mixing it into their wet food. No problems here, in fact, after a few days, they were more enthusiastic about the food WITH the salmon oil than the one without. Success!

I'll be keeping this bottle in the fridge and hope it won't go bad before it's empty. Highly recommended.
